Advanced sensor technology
The extended sensor range includes sensors that are not connected to the NMEA0183 or NMEA2000 buses. Additionally, inexpensive sensors can be connected to the I2C and 1-Wire buses. The OBP40 and OBP60 differ in terms of the voltage ranges for the I2C bus and the isolation of the bus system.

The table below lists some sensors that can be used with the OBP40 and the OBP60.
Warning
The sensor modules are designed for specific voltage ranges. Ensure you use the correct sensors. Using 3.3V modules in 5V systems can damage them. In this case, level converters are necessary. Most 5V modules can also be used in 3.3V systems if operated at 3.3V.
Note
When purchasing BMP280 and BME280 modules, please note that there are different types that look similar but behave differently. You can identify the types by the package size and the shape of the chip.
